About

My early recollections as a child from the 80s were of me befriending feral cats, taking private piano lessons and playing MSX Penguin Adventure. Video games played a big role in my life by keeping me company. Each game felt like an adventure that I was about to embark. It’s always exciting to delve into a new world, navigate locations, meet new characters and interact to reach an end goal. Growing up some of my favorites titles  were Shivers I & II, 7th Guest, 11th Hour, Myst, Gabriel Knight and the Nancy Drew mystery series.

Back in the day, you couldn’t Google walkthroughs. Instead I wrote hand-written letters to Sierra inc’s Help Center using snail mail. It took weeks for a reply to arrive for something seemingly so small like being stuck in a puzzle. Having said that, the process of waiting eagerly and then finally receiving a letter was so memorable. It made coming back home from school to check if a letter has arrived exciting!

While I play a lot of contemporary titles today, my true passion is old school point-and-click adventures. I’m also a huge fan of escape rooms, word puzzles and brain teasers. I created this blog to keep track of my gaming adventures and to share my thoughts and love for puzzles in general.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Happy gaming!
